This is a historic home in Houston’s Old Sixth Ward neighborhood. Built in 1890, but remodeled last year, it retains its original cozy hardwood floors, yet boasts an updated kitchen and bathrooms. Whether you want to relax on the front porch swing, or do business on our 300mbps wifi, you’re welcome here!
• Wi-Fi – Network name and password are listed on the Welcome Letter posted in the home.
• Emergency – In case of emergency, dial 911 immediately.
• Smoking/Vaping – This is a no smoking/vaping home. Smoking and vaping are allowed only on the patio.
• Grill Use – If you use the grill, please clean it thoroughly for the next guest.
• TVs – All TVs are smart TVs with apps for local channels, movies, and streaming services. You are welcome to log into your own accounts.
• Safety – A first aid kit and fire extinguisher are located in the kitchen.
• A/C Settings:
– Please do not set the fan to “On.” It will run continuously without improving cooling.
– Do not set the A/C below 69°F to avoid freezing the system.
– When checking out or leaving for an extended time, please set A/C to 77°F to conserve energy.
• Hot Water – If hot water runs out, please allow time for the water heater to recover.
• Check-Out Guidelines:
– No need to make the beds.
– Please wash any used dishes and dispose of trash properly.
• Appliance Use – Handle all appliances with care. If you need help operating anything, please contact your host.
• Trash & Recycling – Bins are located on the side of the house.
– Black bin = trash, Green bin = recycling.
– If possible, please roll bins to the curb the night before pickup.
– Do not place bags outside of the bins to prevent animal disturbances.
• Neighborhood Etiquette – This is a quiet residential neighborhood. Please be respectful of our neighbors at all times.
